PUBLIC MEETING INCLUDING AGM
(24 Oct 2013)
21 October 2013

Hi Everyone,

PUBLIC MEETING INCLUDING AGM – WE NEED YOUR HELP

1. PUBLIC MEETING - TOMORROW TUESDAY 22nd OCTOBER 7.30pm at BYTHORN VILLAGE HALL – PLEASE attend and find out what needs to be done for the Public Inquiry starting on 10 December. THE INQUIRY IS THE LAST CHANCE YOU WILL HAVE TO EXPRESS YOUR VIEWS so please come to the meeting and see how you can help.

We anticipate the meeting will last about an hour and refreshments will be available (donations please). All refreshments have been donated by the Action Group Committee.

2. PUBLIC INQUIRY STARTS ON TUESDAY 10 DECEMBER AT 10.00am at the Civic Suite at HDC, Pathfinder House, Huntingdon. There will be morning (at 9.30am) and afternoon sessions (at 2.00pm approx) every day and including Friday 13th December at this venue. The Inquiry will reconvene at the Countryside Centre at Hinchingbrooke Country Park on Tuesday 17 December at 9.30am with sessions most days until Friday 20 December. There may be further day scheduled for the Inquiry but the date is still to be decided. There is to be an EVENING PUBLIC SESSION ON WEDNESDAY 18 DECEMBER AT THE HINCHINGBROOKE COUNTRYSIDE CENTRE – starting at 7.00pm. The date for the proposed site visit by the Inspector is Friday 20 December in the morning.

We have been informed that after the Public Inquiry our appeal will now be sent on to Eric Pickles, The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, to be determined based on the evidence given before the Planning Inspector in December. This means the views and depth of opposition expressed by the public at the Inquiry are even more important.

NOW MORE THAN EVER WE NEED THE SUPPORT OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.

3. TICKETS NOW ON SALE FOR THE RACE NIGHT (TO INCLUDE AUCTION OF PROMISES) ON SATURDAY 9 NOVEMBER AT BYTHORN VILLAGE HALL

Doors open 7.30pm first race at 8.00pm. Tickets will be on sale at the meeting tomorrow night. We hope this will be our last major fund raising event so please support us.

Tickets are £12.50 per person and this includes a welcome drink of fizz, nibbles at the table, freshly cooked pizza courtesy of Sarah and John of artisan pizzas, and pudding. The auction of promises will contain 9 lots at the Race Night of some fantastic items. Details of the promises to follow later this week. Tickets and sponsorship info are available from Vicky and Chris Wood 710612 or Maggie and Andy Telford 710039 or email us at the Action Group. WE NEED TO KNOW NUMBERS FOR CATERING PURPOSES BY FRIDAY 1st NOVEMBER.
